This month, the RoomBoss team visited the beautiful Hakuba to reconnect in person with many of our valued partners, including ski resorts, accommodation providers, ski schools, rental shops and activity operators. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to share updates, gather feedback and better understand the evolving needs of businesses in the region as preparations ramp up for the coming season. These conversations are an essential part of our commitment to supporting the growth and success of the Hakuba tourism community. With a team member already based in Hakuba year-round, we continue to prioritise building strong, collaborative relationships and offering hands-on support where it matters most. A heartfelt thank you to all our partners for their time, hospitality and continued trust. We are excited about what the upcoming season holds and look forward to continued success together.

RoomBoss now offers enhanced control over guest service bookings such as ski lessons, rentals, and other inventory-managed activities. A new permission, Guest Services Booking Override, ensures that only authorised users, like supervisors or senior staff, can make bookings even when availability is full. This helps prevent accidental overbooking while still giving trusted team members the flexibility to override limits when needed.

The 12th annual Niseko Classic will take place from today to June  15, 2025, across Niseko​, Hokkaido​. As a premier UCI Gran Fondo World Series pre-event, the Niseko Classic features multiple disciplines: challenging 140 km Gran Fondo, 80 km Medio Fondo, TIme Trial, Team Relay and Niseko Discovery Cycling fun ride. We’re pleased to welcome back Mami, who rejoins RoomBoss with extensive experience across the travel and tourism industry. Over the years, Mami has built a strong foundation in tour operations, sales, and on-the-ground guiding. Her career has taken her to leading ski destinations across Europe, North America, and New Zealand, where she worked as a ski guide. In addition, she managed a dive business in Cancun, Mexico, gaining valuable international business experience. Having recently returned to Japan, Mami is eager to contribute to the continued growth of the country's tourism, resort, and ski sectors, both in winter and green season, by applying her global insight and supporting the digital transformation of the industry. Originally from Shizuoka, Mami enjoys skiing, diving, and gardening. She’s passionate about sustainability and brings a naturally positive, team-oriented approach to her work. We’re excited to have Mami back on the team and look forward to the knowledge, professionalism, and enthusiasm she brings to RoomBoss. Welcome back, Mami!

Team member Julian recently took on the Chiba Spartan Sprint, a 5K race with 20 obstacles, held on May 25, 2025, at Tokyo German Village in Chiba Prefecture. This event, part of the Japan National Series, is renowned for its challenging course set amidst scenic rolling hills. A couple more team members have already raised their hand to take part next year — stay tuned!
