One of those arenas is card games, with the team swapping travel tech talk for spells and mana. Seeing everyone laughing and competing around the same table is exactly the kind of “magic” that makes our team culture special.

Bouldering is also a team favorite. Always plenty of chalk, even more cheering, and some post-climb muscle soreness, taking our teamwork to a literal new level.

And in winter, Hokkaido itself becomes our playground. With world-class snow right on our doorstep, skiing and snowboarding are a natural extension of team life, whether it’s a quick after-work run or a full day exploring the fresh powder.

Sharing these experiences gives you a little peek into the heart of our office. While we take pride in the software we build, we take equal pride in the relationships we grow. Finding a team you actually want to hang out with after hours is rare, and it’s something we never take for granted. That authentic bond is what makes our team culture supportive and our work-life balance feel genuine.

On November 15, 2025, our very own Julian traded his laptop for a headband to take on the Spartan Sprint Okinawa at Toyosaki Seaside Park.

Competitors tackled 20 obstacles across a 5km course, proving they have the “mud-crawling” skills to handle just about anything. This “work hard, play hard” spirit is exactly what we value here at RB.

Not only did he survive the course, Julian crushed it, bringing home 2nd place in his division!

Halloween is almost here, and the Hirafu community is getting ready for another fun Trick or Treat event on Friday, October 31.

ROOMBOSS will be joining the celebration, handing out treats to all the little ghosts and goblins who stop by our Niseko office. We look forward to seeing everyone in costume and sharing in the Halloween spirit!

Earlier this month, RoomBoss team members from across Japan, including Niseko, Sapporo, Furano, Hakuba, Izu, and Shimane, gathered in Sapporo for a team dinner. Although we collaborate daily from different locations, sharing a meal around the same table offered a rare and meaningful opportunity to connect face-to-face.

The evening also marked a significant milestone: the 10-year work anniversaries of Dan and Cesar, two of RoomBoss’s earliest contributors. Their leadership and long-standing commitment helped lay the foundation of the company and continue to guide its growth today.

The 12th annual Niseko Classic will take place from today to June 15, 2025, across Niseko, Hokkaido.

As a premier UCI Gran Fondo World Series pre-event, the Niseko Classic features multiple disciplines: challenging 140km Gran Fondo, 80km Medio Fondo, TIme Trial, Team Relay and Niseko Discovery Cycling fun ride.

Team member Julian recently took on the Chiba Spartan Sprint, a 5K race with 20 obstacles, held on May 25, 2025, at Tokyo German Village in Chiba Prefecture. This event, part of the Japan National Series, is renowned for its challenging course set amidst scenic rolling hills.

A couple more team members have already raised their hand to take part next year — stay tuned!

Some RoomBoss team members visited the Sapporo Lilac Festival 2025 at Odori Park, a local event celebrating the blooming of Sapporo’s official tree. The park features over 400 lilac trees, food stalls, live music, and cultural exhibitions.
